The Team
At Ball Masters, we aim to address the time that’s been lost by each player by accelerating their development time with focused training

José Llanca
Founder, Executive Director, BM Lions Coach
José is an inspirational figure within the NYC soccer community. After surveying the landscape of youth football development in NYC, he quickly identified a genuine need for an improvement in player development. Remaining disciplined in his planning process, José then began to center his ideas around how to provide players with a competitive advantage in their development. He found the solid foundation he was seeking through targeting the essential skill set that every player needs, ball mastery. This discovery inspired José to take action, acquiring his licensing through USSF and forming Ball Masters Football Academy.
As founder of Ball Masters Football Academy, José has developed Ball Masters’ focused training principles from a single-minded approach to offering quality. His desire to offer an academy that caters to training and creating elite players, through Ball Masters’ advanced training program, has since provided numerous players with a clear pathway to reaching the next level. José’s confidence in the results of Ball Masters’ programs are observed in the long term success of his past players and the steady development of his current players. His fixation on his craft, his drive to provide the highest standard, and his acute attention to details are the pillars of our unique Ball Masters’ program and what separates us from the rest
I saw that other academies were giving their players the bare minimum. I wanted to give players more. In establishing fundamentals early we prepare our players for better playing opportunities, greater development, and long term future progress. There’s so much development time that’s lost in the standard approach to training here in the United States compared to outside of the United States. At Ball Masters, we aim to address the time that’s been lost by each player by accelerating their development time with focused training. Every member of our academy is 100% focused on utilizing our players’ time and providing them with the absolute maximum amount of time afforded to train
